A Japanese Subjective Well-Being Indicator Based on Twitter Data

Abstract This study presents for the first time SWB-J index, a subjective well-being indicator Japan based on Twitter data. The index is composed by eight dimensions of and estimated relying data using human supervised sentiment analysis. then compared with analogous SWB-I Italy in order to verify possible analogies cultural differences. Further, through structural equation models, we investigate relationship between economic health conditions country latent variable illustrate how this dimension affects indicators. It turns out that, as expected, welfare only one aspect multidimensional that captured Twitter-based indicator.
